    We had 60MPH winds at work. There were a bunch of tree branches down. A small tree (5" dia) snapped off about 3' up and narrowly missed my wifes car.

    Pretty decent forest fire started up here on Sunday. About 600 acres currently. Only real scary part is that its less than 2 miles from my GF's place.

    Her house is basically straight down from the highest part of the smoke plume basically right on the ridge line...

    Fire is just south of Anchorage Alaska. When I went bed last night it was estimated at <100 acres and 2% contained, but its now at 600+ acres. Rain is on the forecast but not till Friday.
