Severe Weather thread.

Where are the folks in NW New York state? I saw they got lots of snow over T-giving and now expected to get 3 feet this weekend!!

 

After the longest dry spell I can remember, a cutoff low plowed through Southern California last night. 2" fell in a steady drizzle over nearly a 24 hour period. That's a lot of rain for the desert, but it fell over such a long period that it managed to soak in instead of causing catastrophic landslides in all of the recent burn areas.

More rain forecast for tomorrow, with an almost imminent chance of snow Christmas Eve.

Going to be chilly this coming week-

 

Boise supposed to go up there Thursday/Friday....

 

It will be nice and warm by then, lows around 15F. They will get some snow this week though.

Bout 5" overnight, more on the way this weekend. Ziva's happy and that was the look I got when I tried getting her to come back inside so I can go to work...dog is such a brat lol

 

Yup, was a fun drive to work until I caught up to the derps who apparently haven't seen snow before and ride their brakes like an old lady.

 

The news says parts of the Sierra's could see somewhere around 10-15' or more going into next week.

 

mt rose is upwards of 70" as of right now. haven't left for work yet, was letting most of the idiots get to work first. getting ready to head out now.

 

one of our guys from work is stuck in Boise and trying to make his way back down today. jordan valley and the mountains just north of it was a mess and I think they closed it at some point yesterday.

 

he took some people to MEPS up there on Tuesday. Was supposed to come back last night, didn't work out so well lol.

 

Now they have us under a "state of emergency " all weekend due to a crapton of rain headed our way. Hope the homes and businesses in the danger area took caution and prepared.
