This next one heading to the NE has the potential to pack some punch.

Annoyingly, we didn't get this snow when we could have used it in February. Now that we've had 2 weeks of warm weather the ground is pretty much bare and my driveway has defrosted. Cleaning this mess up is going to be a pain because I'll have to be careful to float the plow the entire time or else I'll dig my yard up. They're calling for 10-18 in my area, possibly more. With heavy winds, and it's going to be wet, heavy snow so there's going to be limbs down and power outages.

We just had a Hail Storm run through the area. Looked like snow but was coming down to fast to be snow. about a 1/4 inch of hail on the ground.

We've had high winds out here for the passed 3 days probably. 60mph gusts all day today, grass fires spreading around my hometown, and the dirt in the air looks like a light brown fog at the moment. Made for a neat sunset last night though. Not too extreme but these are the joys of living in Kansas.

Yeah, we're already getting emails from our Reading warehouse about delays in deliveries and canceling the afternoon runs completely. Fortunately this time of year it's not that big of a deal for most of our customers; their business dies right off to nothing when it snows in March.

First day of spring tomorrow and there's a winter weather advisory. If we're getting snow I'd rather have a lot other than that I'm ready for warmer temps...

Got about 9" when all was said and done. Way more than I thought we'd get here. This pic was when I woke up. Coming down pretty good and did all day. 20180321_065813.jpg

Also attempted a hill and ended up sideways! Attempted 4low A-Trac and rear locker on and was not making it. Luckily with very careful maneuvering, I was able to get turned around and back down. Every time I tried to reverse I started sliding towards a fence and a ditch. I had a few pucker moments for sure. :D
