Did you stay... I bet it was hell. Strangely quiet and calm here in Little Rock. Rain bands just to the south and winds supposed to be here about noon then through the overnight.

Good luck to all in the path of Laura. Hope y'all evacuated in time.

I'm in central Iowa, we just are about 10 days past a storm which packed winds in the 100-140 mph range.

Clean up is just about finished. Many farms have suffered severe crop damage and many collapsed silos.

I was lucky. Only a few branches. Clean up took 45 minutes. My neighbor lost a very very large Ash tree, probably near 100 yrs old.

Other times of the year we endure severe cold (-35 wind chill), heavy snow and tornadoes. Currently, an extended drought.

Did fine over here in Houma. We got some mild tropical storm winds and a good bit of rain. We have some family in Lake Charles. They evacuated but got the word from some neighbors that their house came through okay. They have friends that already know they lost everything though. :(

Rain started at 2300 last night. Still raining as of 0800. Should be through out the day. Netted an average loss of 2ft yesterday. Currently maintaining most lake levels.
