Well that was a gross day.
Started out with ice. Chevy work van put himself in the ditch this AM (did three complete rotations as he went past the house). The plow truck went up the hill three times, backwards, dumping salted sand the entire way. Nearly lost our mailbox to out of control cars twice.
Switched over to plain-jane rain around 3, but that just made the ice even more slippery than it was to start with.
Glad I didn't have anywhere to go today; we just hung around the house, feeding the woodstove and reading. Pretty low key Saturday, really.

That sucks. Lucky you didn't have to go anywhere. Don't mind days like that so much.
We got a good amount of rain most of the day here, now winds are picking up pretty good.

I'm hoping for snow next weekend. Heading up to the cabin, so hope for some good snow up there.

Sorry, no crap weather to report of late. Last week was in the 40's all week. Melted all my snow. We're down to less than 6 inches around here now, and we had better than two feet before.

Got about 2 inches of powder and coming down pretty good still. But only the chance of about 5". Lame. Temp is dropping all day though. 19* now and dropping. Was 21* around 7 am so dropping pretty quick.

oh yeah I forgot about the rain!!!
I am just bummed because I love to snowmobile & have only limited time.
Plus hurting lots of businesses who depend on the skiers, sledders, etc.
Body Shops and towing trucks are busy though.

That's a bummer. We got about 5" of powder today. Still coming down, but light. Then the temp is gonna drop to low for me and the kids to play in it. :(

I concur. Been doing this for years just because I noticed how it worked out. Never read it anywhere.

Yes. I have top of the line Anderson's with low-e coating and it works. Low-e isn't the end all be all people say it is and in the winter it still lets heat in the key is it stopping heat from escaping.
