Severe Weather thread.

...I've skied there once, ..many moons ago... have fun this weekend!

 

same here, I'm thinking 1-2" tops with a bunch of rain after as usual.

 

It was 79deg here today

 

6-8" here today into tomorrow!!!

 

It's coming down good here. Roads are shit. But fun.

 

Drove to ski resort this morning in snow storm. Then drove home in rain and slush. Then sprayed off all the shit in my driveway. Not bad at all

 

For once this storm delivered. 8" with zero rain. I still can't believe it.

 

6" so far

 

Finally got a reprieve, only 3in, no rain thank goodness!

 

I think we got about 80+ inches in the last month or so. Too much!

Yeah, you guys had way to much. I love snow, but not all like that.

 

Even though the temperature gauge said 30 degrees yesterday sitting in the sun on the deck it felt like 60. I'll take a few more days like that

 

Truth. It's funny how 30’s feels warm after teens and below.

I heard the best way to deal with ice dams is to use a steam cleaner, just roll it all off the roof. seemed pretty smart to me. anybody ever use one?

 

thnx, it was one handed with a phone one time while moving and I am happy it came out well.

 

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around that one. I guess any heat would melt the ice and take care of it.

People also say fill pantyhose with some sort of ice melt and toss it up on the roof. That kind of baffles me too. Once the ice melt goes away, then you have pantyhose up there to clog up your down spouts.

 

4 degrees here this morning. Saw an article on the news this morning where this is set to be the coldest month on record for WV, ever.

 

I believe that's going to be for a lot of places. -3° here right now.
