A brisk -15 at the house this AM. Far cry from the 35 degrees we had on Sunday, haha! But, since Sunday was so nice I got out and took a couple of pictures from around the house.
The view out the living room windows (there's a picnic table under there somewhere):

    From the driveway:

And from a couple of weeks ago when I shoveled off my roof:

After I was done I had to bucket snow away from the back door with the tractor:

    View from inside the cellar:

Front of the house, after I'd finished with the roof:

Summer shot, so you can see that the front fence line and the kitchen windows are actually fairly tall...

The Dodge has earned its keep this winter.

Wow those pics really put the snowfall total into perspective. Can't imagine the flooding we are going to see all along the NE when all of this melts.

What, the shot with the AC? funny camera angle. I noticed it after I took the picture and I was all :goingcrazy:, so I went and checked it with the level just in case. She's still plumb.

 I'm sure you hate it, but that would be friggina awesome if we got that here. I'd use up some vacation and have a reason to stay inside and do absolutely nothing but make sweet sweet love to my wife all over that house!!!! Then go play in the snow lol.

Hate it? Nope. I love the snow. I just wish it would warm up a bit. -15 in the mornings is a bit much for almost March. Normally by now we've had the maple trees tapped for a couple of weeks. This year nobody's even thought about it yet.

They've done studies on the influx of birth rates due to natural disasters, long storms, prolonged power outages, weddings etc....got to be careful.

Yeah I could go without the negative temps in the mornings. I've been outside at work every day since last friday putting antifreeze in air lines to keep them from siezing up so I wouldn't mind some plus zero temps. Change of subject, how much do yall get off your maple trees?

Wifey is fixed, no worries :jellydance:

booze + woman = ehh, screw the condom lol. :D

My parents have a fairly small operation; they've got a 10 acre (ish) sugarbush with around 1000 taps. In a good year they get about 60 gallons, which is enough to keep the entire extended family supplied for the year. Their record year was something like 106 gallons. Last year they only got about 20 gallons, though. Lousy season. Stayed cold too long, and then it warmed up like somebody'd snapped their fingers; Only had about a week with the right conditions before it warmed up too much and the trees shut off.

I'll try and get out this weekend to get some more snow photos. The snowbanks down by the lake are pretty impressive because of all the drifting.
