Yikes, over 50 mph winds and 5°? No thanks. It went up to about 12° here today and winds in the 20-25 mph range and that was bitter enough. I like the cold, but when that cold wind hits your face, it's no fun.

Think I found a new favorite thread, was a USAF WX guy in a previous life, doing WX for work sucks ass and kinda ruined my passion for wx for a while. Now I am a deployed DOD contractor and have way more fun than I ever could imagine on active duty. Been loving the wx we have been getting on the east coast this winter. With the snowmageddon we had on the east coast a couple weeks ago we got a pinch over 3ft and it was awesome, been getting an inch or two here (so to speak) and there as well which keeps it interesting.

Snow was coming down heavily in Wexford this morning. Slowly turned to rain/snow as I made my way south into the city. My Duratracs kicked ass.

All of my coworkers with kids just happen to be "sick" today.

The parent struggle is real. My 3yo is happy because they make him trace his name in preschool and he hates it! LOL.

More rain on the way for SC today through Wednesday and we still have standing water all over / roads closed / bridges out since the flood late last year.

We had 4 tornadoes in VA that caused damage, two of them EF3. Yesterday I got to see the damage left behind by one by the largest due to my job. 500 yds wide and 28 miles long. Never got to see tornado damage up close like that before, it really devasted the area. The trees were snapped off halfway up the trunks and homes were just wiped off their foundations. It was weird seeing one home almost untouched and 200 yds away one completely decimated. Luckily no one was killed in the one I went to, but lots of injuries. I'll be working all day tomorrow but not sure which one.
