Good luck with the new purchases and thank you for stimulating the economy. Wish I had that kind of money to throw around.

i could have gotten a silverado when i was truck shopping, but i just couldn't get past 1) the looks. silverados bore me to tears 2) everyone in my town has a silverado, they are like sheep 3) wasn't real interested in getting 12-14 mpg for a truck i was going to drive around empty around town most of the time 4) like everyone else said, the repairs, no thank you 5) if you are going full size, why not look at a tundra, or even the ford ecoboost 150? both are much better full size vehicles than the silverado, in my humble opinion. to each their own, however...

i also GOT RID of a rubicon to get my tacoma...lol. they are fun toys to have around, though, and i had almost zero issues with my rubi in 6 years of ownership. i would get one again, especially when they come out with a diesel version, i've heard that's coming...

gm paid back some of this money, it is really sort of misleading to say they paid it all back. the government still owns about 500 million shares of GM stock. at current pricing, if the government sold now it would lose about $17 billion dollars.
