like title says, any idea where I could have a good guy replace my timing belt and the rest of my pullys and belts? My uncle can't have me working at his shop now he has a contract with a rolls dealer for liablility reasons my vehicle can't be in or even behind his shop

You could do this in your driveway, or is the issue not having the tools?

Hmmm.... This engine can't be messed up if you get the timing marks wrong. The crank pulley tool can be improvised a few different ways. I'm pretty sure you've seen the thread in the sticky section. I just put on a new timing belt / water pump for the first time and it was pretty straightforward. I did put the belt on backwards so that took a minute to figure out lol. So that's a plus. If you're not going to do it, I'm sure there's a few good shops up there. There's a good shop down here in Downey, but that's a good long drive during the day. You should still buy your own parts imo and aircabman on ebay sells a kit of oem parts that I bought. Everything seemed legit and a few other guys have bought it with good results too. It gets here quick since it ships from Laguna Niguel.

If you haven't already found one, Mister Tune Up (818) 767-8432: 8700 Lankershim Blvd. Sun Valley, right off the 5FWY and Lankershim. Been going there for over 10 years, father and son business. Straight shooters.

I would call Enterprise Toyota in Canoga Park.

The owner did some work for me in 1992 on a 1987 SR5 and I was 100% satisfied. In 1995 I moved to Colorado and bought a 1998 Tacoma. I've called him a couple of times for some troubleshooting info and again was 100% satisfied. I sent him a check for $50. In 2014 I happened to be in Nevada and had a sem-emergency with the Tacoma. I called him, he said to bring the truck to his shop. I did, and he took a look at it and told me, and then showed me exactly what was wrong. An hour later I drove out 100% satisfied, and he didn't charge a penny. If I ever need work that I cannot do and if the truck is driveable will gladly drive from Colorado to have him do the work.

The owner (Geri) should still be there, and I cannot recommend him enough.
