$350 at my dealer to hook it up to the BG fluid exchange machine. They will not drop the pan.

It's all fun and games until you see another man's dipstick in her engine.

I use fomoto valves on all my cars so it will be hard to screw up once i get it on. I haven't had to do an oil change yet but when I do, I'll be triple checking I use the right plug after reading this thread, didn't know they were so close these trucks.

Wipe it and check it several times looking at the front and back. You will get a good idea where you oil level is.

Interesting video but be better if he showed oil pressure. That’s what I would be worried about on an overfill. But seeing this tells me even if there is a little overfill, shouldn’t hurt anything. I just figured it would blow seals. I watched the entire video but didn’t see any blowouts. Interesting.

on my 2nd Gen, my brother jumped in to "help" not knowing anything about my truck and before I realized he was under the truck , he loosened the trans drain plug. Luckily he noticed it wasn't engine oil

I paid $250 for complete fluid swap. Pretty good price IMO. Not really a money maker for the dealership.

EDIT: This was in North Texas and a different economic market (no Poli talk).

I had a dream last night I started the truck, shifted into reverse, and heard a "CLUNK CLUNK"
