I second this reccomendation, the Lower control arm bushings wear out and can contribute to steering column shaking.

They couldn’t find anything wrong with upper control arm bushings or the carrier bearing. I needed it back because it’s my daily driver. I’m taking it back next Monday for a deeper dive.

The steering column doesn’t shake. It’s a whole-truck shimmy that transmits through the frame into the seats, and finally into my body and brain at 70, like standing in front of a bass monitor at a metal show. I could take shaking in the wheel.

It was the carrier bearing after all. It's going to be about $650 to fix. Thanks for all of the input, everyone.

Grease them and you won't need to replace them. Mine are original at 180k miles. I grease them at every other oil change.
