To be honest, I wasn't sure what to search for. lol

Sometimes when braking, it feels like the rear end is bouncing or shaking? (insert joke) Any ideas what this might be?

I was thinking possibly my rear brakes are...???....warped drums?

Are you sure it's the rear and not the fronts? Front rotors are far more likely to warp than rears ever will.

Funny you should say that. My front rotors are warped. New ones are on order and when it's cold out I don't feel them shake the steering wheel, almost like nothing is wrong with them. However, I feel the back of the truck bouncing. So maybe it's just the fronts???

Start with the fronts first, since they're easy and most likely to be to blame. If the issue persists, then move to troubleshooting the drums in the rear.

Great idea! I'll carefully give this a shot and see what's up. Thanks!

Yep! The fronts are on the ToDo list. I have the pads just waiting for the rotors to arrive.

FYI, be careful ordering from AutoAnything.com. I ordered my rotors from there (EBC Ultimax slotted). Ordered last Tuesday and paid for next day FedEX shipping so i could do my brakes on Saturday. I still don't have them.

Probably based on in-stock. They'll probably come overnight once they're in stock and actually ship out. FedEx will do their job, but AutoAnything may be the delay in getting them out the door. If they showed in stock when you ordered, just give them a call and ask for a refund on shipping.

So far as I know, shaking in the steering wheel while braking means front rotors are warped. If the whole vehicle shakes, it's the rears.

I just find it odd that rears would be warped. I haven't heard of that on 2nd gens at all, but anything is possible. I have 200k HARD miles including lots of freeway stop and go, and my rears haven't even needed turning. Maybe you should be under there torquing everything, like your U bolts to start. You could likely have something loose underneath that is shaking the whole rear axle only when brakes are applied. I hear of U bolts coming loose all of the time, or needing to be re-torqued even when brand new right out of the factory. But, you'd be feeling that likely on acceleration, too. Still, it's worth a look since it's a free fix and good general maintenance.
