    This is the DJI FPV. These guys showed up at the end of my day when I had already used up all my battery packs for my freestyle drone and the only thing I had batteries for was the DJI.

    This is a fairly new build of an FPV drone on 3.5" props. Wasn't ready for the cold yesterday the wind chill was messing with me more than the quad.

    Little on the heavy side for a sub 250 gram build but comes in under with a 4s 650mah battery. The next size up puts it over 250g but it gains a lot of flight time.

    This is the DJI FPV. It’s the one quad I’m not afraid to lose (GPS return) so I tend to use it for long-range/recon flying. I don’t know what voodoo DJI does with the hardware on it but it consistently gets way more range than my homebuilt quads (also running DJI or Vista air units).

    Looks like he’s having fun and getting his runs in. My dog still thinks my drone is a flying vacuum/giant mosquito and is always wary of it.

    It is beautiful no doubt. It just has it all, ocean, redwood forests, desert, massive mountain ranges. You can be playing in the snow, then drive 2 hours and be sunning on the beach. It’s everything else about California that sucks, high COL, ridiculous real estate, politics, soft on criminals, etc. I’m on my way out myself after living here over 30 years, definitely gonna miss the terrain.

    Just to keep the thread on topic, some spazzy freestyle from yesterday when we had a break in the storm.

    Check with your home/car insurance company. Some (like State Farm) offers drone policies.

    If that doesn’t work, get an AMA membership (Academy of Model Aeronautics) which comes with a $1M policy. I don’t personally like AMA because they tend to be anti-quad but that policy is hard to beat.

    My Quadmula F3 is a bit of a mongrel built with cinewhoop parts I never got around to building. With a 4s 850mah battery it's around 300g, it was more of a goof since it was the heaviest of the 3-3.5" frames I looked into. I've got an o3 in an AOSo3 that I might move it into.

    Just started flying a Quadmula 5" today that I moved off of an AOS frame because I found it wasn't very durable.
