Hey all, I am a new member here sharing my frame off rebuild of a truck I bought 4 years ago with 95K miles on it. The truck was originally from upstate NY, well maintained but the frame was hammered. After running the VIN it was never clear to me if the original owners brought it in for the recall. I have been fixing it up in stages but this Summer finally took the plunge and found a frame and rear end assembly in Arizona. Let me share some photos of the old rusted frame that I put 40K miles on to begin and then show the build progress.

I had the new frame sand blasted and powder coated. Here are the 2 side by side.

Cleaning up the engine bay and removing as many rusted pieces as possible.

I stole the spare from my other truck that had never been exposed to deicer.

    IMG_7544.jpg
The old cc was unusable so I went with the OEM replacement.

Gorgeous, that’s going to be one gem of a truck once you’re done with it. Great work.
