Sharp noise and vibrations at higher RPMS; '02 2.4 V4

Hi guys,

I appreciated the feedback on helping me find a good tacoma. I bought a 2.4L V4 5 speed manual '02 Tacoma a few weeks ago, and I've loved it!

I had huge noise issues at first and took it to the Yota dealership near me, and they replaced the entire AC system and that fixed a lot of it. They also replaced all 3 joints and that fixed a whirling noise. Both of those were problems solved, and I could hear the problem noise/vibrations go away.

Note the previous owner replaced most of the front end a year ago, and the tranny and clutch two years ago. I know this guy babied it (older guy) who had a notebook with service history so he took great care of it and owned it since 2010.

But since I've owned the truck, at higher RPM's (over 2.3 and really bad closer to 3) the whole truck vibrates and it makes this sharp noise that sounds bad. This is really only a problem in 1st and 2nd gear when I get up to those higher RPM's before switching, but it sounds & feels terrible.

Most of it sounds like gear whine.
