    I ordered just the valance.

The valance separates from the main bumper but you have to take off the whole bumper to access 3 of the 5 clips that hold it on.

If you don't want to take it off, just mask off the bumper so you can paint the valance.

Oh cool, did not know that. I don't mind taking off the bumper if is means I don't have to mask shit. I hate masking.

Well, The mesh isn't actually on the back. Those are T-Rex Grille inserts. They are made out of stainless steel and are available in chrome or black. The bumper grille is made by the same people.

These are ridiculously expensive, $400+ for the 4 piece main grille set and $100+ for the bumper grille piece. If you're still interested they are available at AutoAnything.

Was time to change the oil and my free oil changes are all gone so decided to switch to full synthetic. Went with Mobil 1 0-20. Love the feel of fresh oil. Also got a wash and wax done since it's been so long since the last wash. 30,000 miles is coming up soon so gonna be doing plugs and diff oil soon.

Thanks man. The duratracs are great! Huge improvement over the stock highway tires. Although i have no point of reference with other tires, I feel that the duratracs are a great tire! As for the size, they've been a great performer with minimal effect on gas mileage. Only reason I wish I had bigger now is because I lifted the front by 3" so they look a little small now.

Finally got a chance to install my customcargrills.com grill. It went well however it could have gone better. First off I bought a new rotary tool the day I stated this project. The problem with that is the battery didn't come charged. And being the impatient person I am I decided to start right away anyway so constantly waiting for the thing to charge a little for 5 minutes of using it slowed me down quite a bit. so I ended up cutting a lot by hand with a hacksaw blade which worked well enough. didn't even need the rotary tool really other than help smoothing the cuts a little faster than doing it by hand. second thing that should have gone better, as a result of being impatient, I didn't cut as much as I should have around the bottom left and right corners of the grill so it doesn't sit as flush as it should. 3rd problem was not getting a heavier duty adhesive to begin with. I used some heavy duty contact cement which is basically rubber glue. it's held up at freeway speeds, but who knows how long it'll last. so I"m going to reinforce some areas with some sort of epoxy or something at some point soon.

All in all, lessons learned and it would be MUCH faster a 2nd time around. Which intend to do. I'll buy a whole new grill assembly since this one has chips on the surround that I noticed as I was doing this project. And next time I'm getting the homertaco version that mounts with the factory screws instead of adhesive. Also, I just prefer the lip the homertaco version gives. This one is a super thin lip. It looks good but not like I had envisioned.

sorry for the shitty cell phone pics. I'm too lazy to take good ones. :D

You can pick up some 12" strips at Autozone. Looks like you could mount them on the back of your light bar too.

Superbrightleds.com is a good place too.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I want to try to wrap all the way around the opening from the inside so it illuminates the whole opening. Found a whole roll of the waterproof sticky led strip in red for like $10.

    Wow that's super cheap.

I stuck them to the back of the aluminum bumper support too.
