Any sheep herders out there, post up your flock.

Had a new arrival during the night. Already up and running around within 24 hours of birth.IMG_1404.jpg

I used to raise goats. I loved having them they are so entertaining. Good luck with the sheep! An old neighbor of mine used to have some. It reminds me of Jesus as our shepherd lol

I bought these about 8 mos ago for eating weeds. These are Katadyn hair sheep, which shed their wool during the summer. They are very tame with the exception of the young ram(has collar). His name is Rambo and will butt anyone once their back is turned. They do most of the grounds mantainence around our farm.

Added two more lambs to the flock today. The two light brown one's on the right. The white one on the left is 3 weeks old.

We've been keeping sheep for about 12 years now as my wife is a hard-core spinner/knitter and they help keep the grass in check. We keeps ewes and wethers (no rams...no breading).

This is Fiona and Icelandic ewe:

    Ester a Romney/Romeldale(CVM) cross ewe:

    Dottie a Gotland/Finn/Shetland cross ewe:

This Ewok looking fella was Chone (he passed), a Shetland wether:

The twins, Frank and Felix, Shetland wethers when they were lambs:

And Edgar, the leader of the pack before he passed, a Shetland wether:
