Shelf in Glovebox

Am I missing something here? My first 3rd Generation Tacoma, a 2017 TRD Sport, came with a shelf that divided the glovebox into top and bottom sections. My current Tacoma, a 2018 TRD Off Road, doesn’t have it (see photo below).

 

My 2017 TRD OR DCLB has it!
Maybe discontinued for 2018?
OR Stealership stole it?

 

Someone probably robbed you, or didn’t stick it back in when they checked, replaced or did something with the cabin air filter. I would see if that’s there

Another interesting note, my current cover for factory my Toyota owner’s manual is green, but my previous cover was black.

 

Toyota doesn’t provide the manual holder, the dealer does.

I ended up throwing my shelf in the trash.

 

Mine didn't come one either. I just bought the aftermarket divider on Amazon.

My book also came in green from the dealer. Don't really care since it's locked away though.

 

The shelves are discontinued for 2018. The 16/17 Shelf also does not clip directly in to the 2018 box because it is missing two clip holes on the bottom for it, although it will clip in from the side. If you steal a 16/17 shelf you'll just need to whizz off the two notch clips on the bottom to make it work.

 

I wondered the same thing. Dealer said they the 18's didn't come with them. I guess not a huge deal but I liked it in my 2016

 

Well shit, thanks for brining this to my wallets attention. On the path to living out of my truck soon. Had no idea about this or that I needed one now that I saw it, I can’t unsee it. I've seen the shelf in the '17's and I actually prefer OCD's version for the 2018's better.

 

Well my dealership sucks then because i didn't even get a sleeve! All I got was a glovebox full of manuals

I didn’t realize there was so much variance. I prefer red or black over my green cover.

 

but green is faster... so there is that.

 

My manuals and paperwork were in a nice Leather Toyota holder in my glove box for my 18 Sport.
