So someone ripped open the rear door on my ARE commercial cap by giving the rear door a good tug. Thank God, none of my equipment or gear was in the back. After really looking at my cap I realized this quick fix could have cost me thousands of dollars. I wanted to make this video, so this doesn't happen to any of you. The worse feeling is thinking your truck is secure when it's not!

Wow. Just ordered a new aluminum shell. I will have to look at the locks closely. Thanks

The ones on a fiberglass shell are even easier to snatch since they don't have the structure that helps prevent flex. It's why you see folks add a hasp or other measures to help secure them even though it's unattractive.

I had the rear window yanked open on my first Tacoma twice, the first time parked in the dealer's fenced maintenance lot. This was years ago and I still get annoyed thinking about my stolen Cold Steel SRK; it had sentimental value because of how many places I'd taken it so I hope whoever took it dies/died a horrible and painful death. Yes, I really hate thieves that much.

Yup I used to have a fiberglass one I felt was like a fish bowl.
