I got 56,000 out of the first set and have about 10,000 on my second set. They’ve been excellent tires and I highly recommend them.

Zero issues and have been excellent in all conditions.

That's great to hear. Have any of your conditions included rocky trails? I have planned trips out West and to Alaska, Death Valley, Utah, AZ, CO, the usual locations. People keep saying you got to have E rated tires or your going to have punctures and sidewall cuts. I say that's way overblown but I don't have a good frame of reference being from FL where I deal with sand, some clay and tree branches. Thanks.

I’ve been all over the country throughout the Southwest. I agree that it’s largely overblown that you need E rated tires. You just need to properly set your air pressure. I’ve only had one flat tire and it was from a chunk of metal in my driveway.

I carry a compressor and my inflator kit to do 2 tires at once. A couple minutes spent adjusting air pressure will give you a much better ride and make it much more difficult to blow one out off road. I also carry a repair kit in the event I do need to patch one to get home.

There’s supposedly some spots in Alaska that can wreak havoc on tires but I haven’t personally been up there (yet). At the same time I’ve seen videos of people with stock trucks and suvs with no issue so I think it’s definitely more a matter of how you drive.

I'm a firm believer in dropping tire pressure for the terrain. I also carry a good patch kit and OBA. I've heard the same about AK and have probably seen the same videos, I agree its more about how you drive and tire pressure. Thanks again!

car solutions front camera kit removed (for sale if interested)
    Alpine ilx-w650 installed
    Front camera rewired to alpine
New dash cam installed - rexing v3 dual

the music and nav screen in the instrument cluster don’t work, but I can live with that in exchange for CarPlay which is much more responsive than entune ever thought about being. Gaia is available now via CarPlay and seems to work well. Saves me having to mount an iPad.

im sure I’ll have to help @Tigerian put one in soon :(

So after install of the I’ll-w650 my nav and audio display don’t work in the MFD. I called crutchfield to see if there was any way to make them work or if you are just gonna lose them as a side effect of replacing the head unit. Not a huge deal but kind of nice to have. I mostly want it working in the tundra, so the taco is a Guinea pig.

It seems we were able to figure out a way to make them both work, we’ll find out once the new stuff arrives.

I still haven't received my bypass. Contacted seller today and he shipped out a new replacement.

The third gen has a screen in the instrument cluster that displays stuff (multi function display), some of which apparently comes from the head unit.

    Ahh, I see.

I wouldn't expect that with my stuff once I get the bypass installed then?

Correct. It’s a third gen thing. You won’t have any issues.

It sounds like we’ve got it all figured out. I’ll know in a week or two, whenever it shows up. If they would have told me that I couldn’t make it work, I’d have been perfectly content. Since I’ll be doing the same thing in my tundra, it’s easier to get it sorted in the taco first.

And a JLT catch can - there was actually oil residue in the line, I was surprised. Anyone that off roads much should definitely put one of these in.
