Way cheaper than ARB. Via Air is legit? I have an EE bedside cubby mount and was planning on a twin but stalled on price. Will be reading reviews.

    Yes
Viair is solid. Although I only have experience with the 88p, I’ve abused the crap out of it; dragging it through mud on accident, airing up 8 tires back to back to back, using it in the rain, and it is still working flawlessly!

    Thanks @Shellshock !

Another thing I need before next summer’s camping trip.
Also another thing I need to keep hidden so my wife doesn’t know I’m blowing more cash.
The list of things now grows. I also need a compressor so I can air up at Jungle Jim’s bar and not need to borrow Cipher’s. A trusty pressure gauge, hookup and purchase my Cb antenna, and a list of other odds and ends.

    Damn you Shellshock! Damn you!

Yes! They're honest enough to give CFMs by increasing pressure for each model. And, the pump is impressive for its size.

Viair is pretty solid. Definitely recommend getting the automatic tho

Automatic is a must if folks want to use anything but the provided hose and chuck, which is utterly infuriating to use.

Maybe I asked this already, but I've got a smittybuilt (sp?) for about 130. I hear it's got proprietary chucks and no fancy features. Is it worth it to snag the 400 for this price or DIY some of these things?

No worries. I appreciate it all the same. If no one chimes in, I'll stick with what I have and make it work.

The RV version has an air qd on the filler thingy. Looks like an easy mod to make the 400p auto have that also.

I was mainly talking about the parts that come with the non-automatic compressors. The supplied line allows air flow / pressure relief when not connected to a valve stem. All typically available pneumatic stuff does not allow that. But, that stuff allows a lot more utility and flexibility as we see in this thread.

I changed mine to be the other connector. It’s a standard 1/4 npt air fitting

Mine ended up being 1/8 fpt with green thread locker (the circled part). Easy enough to add an adapter.

No worries. Why do they put the wrong connector on the compressor anyway?

Probably so noobs can connect either end of the hose to the compressor or attachment. Seems silly to me
