I did. Yes. I thought about getting Harbor Freight hoses.. but decided to not cheap out on air lines that I would be using a lot.

and we have used them a lot already.

Plus they stay flexible when it’s cold af and you don’t want to be outside. Totally worth the couple extra dollars

And I think that stuff wraps up pretty tight. Easy to store.

It’s cheap and easy. Done for about $40.

I would not cheap out on air gauge though. I had to, and it deflates the tires sooooo slow

I have a couple nice ones. I'll have to check flow rates.

I need to get on this before my next trip, I use deflators now which I have been happy with, typically hop out and screw them in and drink a beer while tires deflate.

The re-inflation process is kind of a pita as Im usually ready to get back on the highway and Im using a hardmounted viair 450 with no tank, have to connect and watch each tire closely as they fill.

Is this system faster at deflating then the screw on adjustable deflators are?

I have visions of grandeur involving tapping in to my main air supply from the compressor and plumbing a gauge into my cab so I can monitor pressure from drivers seat.

Wish I had read this thread earlier. OH well, nothing lost. Staying simple for now, but love the dual system!

Is the cost on this significantly more than when the original post was made, or am I missing something here?

That’s about $10 more than I paid for mine. There’s lots of other options out there but that’s what I went with.

Oh ok. I thought a comment was made that this whole DIY was about $75. Maybe I misread it. I'm new to these things.

    The base parts list is.

some of the pieces you can get cheaper locally vs Amazon. The hoses for example were about $10 each at menards as opposed to $15+ on amazon. Same with the fittings.

people can use whatever gauge they want, the one I got is definitely on the higher end which I justified with the money saved overall.

I took a slightly different route with parts. I found that I could source out a pre-assembled air line from a local supplier with a couple ends to create the whip hoses. I ordered the swivel ends off Amazon and then created an extension piece from the off cut that remained. I do recommend the Flexzilla hoses and fittings though. They are quite nice quality and roll up tightly in the tool bag that I had from a Milwaukee gun set I would have otherwise thrown away. I will post some pictures of my set up after work. @Shellshock has a nicer set up, but mine works for me.

I’m a big fan of flexzilla hoses and the chucks I used. The hoses stay flexible well below zero and the chucks grab really well and there’s almost zero air loss when you disconnect

Based on your comments I too bought and like the flexzilla and the the chucks! Work excellent.
