The trailer is on it's own weight. Just need to tighten the leaf spring bolts and then wire the lights. It should be road ready this weekend :bananadance:

is it running purely on leafs or are you gonna add shocks? I guess it'd really depend on how much weight you have in it. I was just thinking maybe it'd bounce less with shocks to dampen recoil. But I'm no engineer.

Gonna try and tackle the wiring today. I laid out the wires last night so they wouldn't be so "wound up".

I'm having a problem figuring out the wiring. I don't know about the black aux wire. Also, my stop and running lights should be the same along with separate turn signals.

@gixxerphil .. Is the pin out, on the truck the same as the pin in, to the trailer harness?

I have no clue. I just bought a 7pin harness to match the Tacoma's. I'm gonna call etrailer and tell them what I have/want and see if they have any suggestion.

I am very limited in my electrical knowledge.

I have the box wired up.

    Gotcha.

my truck has the pin-out (truck to trailer) on the cover. It is also rotated 90* to the right.

That said, I would wire my lights accordingly on the trailer, if I were doing this.

I believe you have dual filament bulbs for the brake, turn and running lights. Brake and turn (bright) is one side of the bulb. Running (dim) is the other. The truck knows what to do (convert) with said signal as long as you wire the lights correctly.

EDIT: The only thing that changes my thought process is, if the trailer wiring is made for a 4 light set up.. being 4 lights. 2 for running and brake, and 2 for running and turns like a tractor trailer setup.

I've got a call into etrailer. A tech is suppose to call me back. I don't know if I need a converter or what.

I put the tail lights in even though I know they'll come back out once I hear from etrailer and figure out what to do with the wiring. Excuse the mess, that's parts for the ARB bumper swap :D
