As someone that's lived there.... It's one of my favourite places in the world. Ha. I don't know how it's the most hated. Except when Albertans whine about everyone else. Then I get it.

Hottest places in Canada on record are B.C., Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Alberta doesn't make the tip 15. It was so hot in B.C. this summer in Lytton, the place burned to the ground. Literally burnt to ash!!!

On the plus side, this is what I woke upto this morning. Can't wait to get out there!!! I love this weather. :D:D:D

    Yea but it’s a dry cold :D

Just got back from Calgary and the weather does change quick out there. I swear though sometimes when it’s just below zero here (Quebec) is when it feels the coldest with the damn humidity. It just cuts right through.

I won't see those temps for another month or so. -20F to -30F is pretty common in my area. Will be interesting to see how my Tacoma handles it since it's my daily driver.

Alberta it's dry, I know when temps drop to -35,-40°C then it "warms" up at -15°C everyone is ready to jog in shorts:D!
For our US friends, -40°C is -40F also...:p

No I'm not, now I drive the Honda Pilot 4WD. Come spring I'll put the two Toyota's in circulation and give the Honda a rest.

Well, the evidence that Canada blows is here in the weather. Either that or the USA sucks.......maybe both considering the wind speed.

Northwest wind 25-30 mph with gusts to 50 mph. Raw temperature is 20*F on the morning dog walk. Windchill, somewhere in the single digits F or less.

Hate winter. All the female skin disappears and everyone looks like Puff the marshmallow man. Sorry, Puff the marshmallow people.

    And I can't ride my CX500C!!

It was -3F with a windchill of -23 this morning. That makes for a rude awakening.

I'm a couple hundred miles north of you but just went through the same storm then cold-front you did. Pretty shocking walking the dogs and shovelling this morning.

We had 2 power outages here that lasted longer than a week, 1 in Summer where temps were above 100 and the other in the dead of Winter. Both sucked terribly but if l had to go thru that again l would choose the Summer one every time.

I was doing snowmobile bag trips through northern quebec in -40 temps till 2006. If dressed properly you can enjoy winter. I hate the 90 degree plus summer weather here in connecticut sweating like a pig, otherwise having to stay in an conditioned building. I'd take the cold any day.

I mean, the CoC couldn't be any more clear.
It's not the Op's first time with a thread title like this though.. I guess some very thinly veiled political shite is somehow good in some ppl's minds.

Coldest I've experienced was -60F up in Watertown NY while I was stationed at Ft Drum NY, that was back in 93-94.

The great thing about all the Newfies working in the Alberta oil patch was it raised the average IQ of both provinces.

Now the border restrictions eased I can take advantage of free shipping within the US and some of that cheaper than interior BC, Washington St gasoline. All ten minutes from home.
