Hey guys I recently ordered a blue stitch suede shift boot that was said to fit 09 tacoma's. The center console of my truck is a whole unit with shifter, cup holder, and center compartment all connected. I removed the whole center and tried removing the shift boot and frame but could not get it to budge. Also there are no underlying bolts that hold the frame in place.

Anybody know what is has to be done to change the shift boot on my 5 speed tacoma?

on mine, 4 screws with #3 Phillips heads hold the boot assy to the frame.then remove the shift knob and it should come out.

Mine doesn't have screws to remove, the boot seems stitched on and the frame that holds the boot seems to be unremovable..?

probably better off posting this in the 2nd Gen forum. Would be much more helpful people viewing it as the 1st Gen and 2nd Gen interiors are quite a bit different.
