After an alarm and remote starter install, my climate control and shift indicater illumination no longer work. there was a problem with the first alarm brain, where the parking light flasher was defective. Before I replaced the brain, I did mess with the jumper that switches from negitive and positive triggers. Just wondering if I shorted something. I'm under the impression the lights in question are led. So I guess what I'm asking is,(a) is it possiuble that they burned out,(b) something is grounded out and they will start working again when I separate the grounded out wires, or (c) am I totally screwed? PLEASE HELP!!! Sorry I forgot to mention I have an 05' Tacoma 4.0 V6

I recently replaced one of the climate control lights. They're super easy to switch out. Just pop out the climate control unit and you'll have access to both bulbs. They twist right out of the backside of that unit. The lights in my 2005 were not LED. Just regular old incandescent. If you search around you can probably find something cheap online. I just went to the dealership and bought one for a couple bucks. I'd start by replacing one of these bulbs since its an easy first (and hopefully last) step in diagnosing the problem. You may have just shorted them out when you replaced the alarm's brain.
