Didn't happen to be one of those glowing knobs by chance did it? I like the idea of it but then thinking of it the novelty would likely wear off pretty quick.

It's not cheap, but @AJT DESIGN makes a sweet shifter knob. Pics are in my build thread.

Off topic but the plasti dip looks good on your interior, bit by bit everything is turning black inside of my truck as well

Edited because upon 2nd glance I see only one spot that looks plasti dipped

I had posted this a couple weeks ago in in the "What did you do today..." thread--though I'd repeat it here in this more appropriately titled discussion.

In poking around our barn I found a bunch of pool ball (cue and 8s) shift knobs I made for Mustangs nearly 10 years ago--thought a cue ball would look nice in the Taco:

The Mustang uses a M12 x 1.75 thread vs. the Tacoma's M8 x 1.25 so I had to make a bushing for the knob, then it didn't look right on that skinny 9 mm stick so the bushing became a 13 mm sleeve with the M12 thread at the top. It's held in place by a M8 socket set screw inserted and tightened at the top:

I must have made a hundred of these back then (had after hours access to a CNC shop)--of every number, some eagles, and even a few NFL and whiskey logo'd--here's what's left (the funny yellowish one is real ivory, a ball sent to me by a friend in Tasmania):

Do regular replacement knobs work on the 2nd gen automatic with the lock button?
