Got an 05 4.0 auto. and I have a horrible vibe between 4-5 if I drive in d. if I drove in 4 then shift manually to d it isn't there so everone I've talked to says its my OD SHIft solenoid. I've looked and haven't seen a write up on replacing one and was wondering if anyone could either post a hyperlink to one or tutor me up a bit here thanks.

Wouldn't that be internal in the transmission? Done by valves or something like that?

Is the solenoid not just a plunger type valve. I think there supposed to either be open or closed and it seems like its getting stuck in between. when I run thru the gears 2500+done it shifts fine. I assume I make enough pressure to fully open or close said plunger
