    I was driving on highway today. After about 20 minutes traveling 80 mph. The truck downshifted to D2 on its own. Really weird.
    Has this happened to anyone?

    Automatic 1st gen right? I know a guy whos truck shifts into neutral on him

    Yes 1st generation 2004 doublecab automatic. So what happened to the guy that you know, is his truck ok any problems later on?

    10 trd tacoma prerunner
    my 02 double cab kinda does the same thing, execpt it does shift but whenever i drive on the freeway, it looks like its gonna shift to D2 so i just hold onto the whole time

    What it shifts on its own. Does anybody know what is going on the transmission? Is there a fix for this weird thing?

    I mean shifting to D2 lever, on its own.
