You ever heard of anyone using this with the OEM knob by just trimming off the clips on the bottom of the knoB?

Did you get him to engrave a dickbutt on the inside of the bottom?

Shirley, there is a penis on there somewhere. Can't let those without one of @7r41lbr34k3r 's knobs get away that easily.

    Happy Friday!

He engraved his "initials" on bottom of my Ti (at my behest) i should have taken a pic and enlarged...ever since I put it on, ive wondered if its not a dickbutt.

I dont want to unscrew it to look cuz that'll be 1 more click life off the stock retainer...and he wont make me a Ti V1 MT boot retainer...with a dickbutt engraving

I had unlocked the Stock retainer a bunch of times. No noticeable wear. That freaking chrome plating is like Adamantium.

I do like the replacement retainer though. With the one-off @7r41lbr34k3r 'missing ball,' a bit more room to grip it.

    You know he will.

Our senior design project was a development of a thing that a group of four of us roughed out. For too long, it was my favorite, most accomplished project. The original name was the Binter Trout, which was an amalgamation of our last names. The prof didn't like it, esp as we were presenting it outside of the school. The new name was something stupid like XXXXX 2000. I was the CAD monkey and at the very front in what looked like a point was Binter Trout in wee text.

I always hope that it would come up in a google search someday.

I have not. Are you looking specifically to separate the knob from the boot? If you would like to leave them attached there are cleaner solutions out there.

I can even make you a custom clip cover just so you don't have to destroy the knob.

Mine is an auto. That should explain why I was inquiring about cutting the tabs off the knob.

    I understood that.

I get quite a few questions, and have seen some outside-of-the-box thinking through folks who have used these outside of my intentions.

As a result I try to get a clear picture before giving my opinion.

If you were going to cut the tabs, this would create an abrupt change from the 8mm diameter of the truck shaft to the 28mm (averaged) diameter of the knob base.

Basically a thin noodle of a shaft between two rather bulky masses.

I do not think this would look right to my tastes, but if that suits your vision it's only important that you like it (not me or anybody else).

Will these work with the @MESO pro knobs? IE: is there a hole enough room to pass the small connector through? I fucked mine up when I drilled it

I did the exact same thing... I'm looking at ordering the black replacement option.

My guess is that you would still have to drill it out. It is as close to the original as I could make it.

I'll definitely need some measurements from the connector, and will happily modify the next run.

Yes! Totally down to wait for a modified connector with the hole right in the print. I'll look at his directions again to see if I can suss out a dimension. @MESO do u remember the dimensions of those lil white connectors?
