I need to replace the shifter linkage on my 99 Tacoma PreRunner.
    OEM #3370235220
The part is not made by Toyota any longer, I have tried multiple sites and salvage yards locally to no avail.
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Why does the linkage need to be replaced? If the shifter is overly loose you might only need replacement bushings.

Just going by what my mechanic said, he had adjusted it all he could. A young man who works there and has an older Tacoma mentioned the bushings as well.

OP, there are good videos on YouTube that cover the shifter linkage bushing replacement. I did mine in about an hour or so - new OEM bushings were inexpensive. This is what you’re in for. Pay special attention to the mechanism in the last pic. Make sure it all goes back together correctly and works properly. Big difference with nice new bushings installed.

X2 I just did this couple weeks back. I couldn’t get the key out of the ignition. I’d knock this out first. High possibility of it being the bushings. @MalinoisDad gave me advice on mine.

This is what my bushings looked like.
