Only the maglight mod, mounted on floor drivers side, billet antenna and have lined all storage under rear seats with rubber to keep the rattling to a minimum.
    Did that. No luck.

When you replaced the switch and the fuse, do you at least have brake lights now?

Negative ghost rider. No brake lights. Reverse, hazards and tail lights work just no brake lights.

Try the simple things first. The object is to get the brake lights working.

Perhaps try new bulbs if you do not have the LED-type brake lights (the brake filaments might be out on the current bulbs)?

Also, if possible, take out that LED and try the original bulb setup in the 3rd brake light?

So if the fuses were all good except one would that cause all the tail light bulbs to blow? Can an LED bulb even blow?

Do you have the LED-style taillights?

Might try replacing these fuses anyway, I've had times that a fuse looked fine but was in fact bad.

Only have the LED third brake light. Still have the stock tails but was going to upgrade them this week.

I will give it a shot. I have a friend, that has a friend that works for Toyota and he's researching this clusterf**k also. So far he's telling me that I've done everything he would've suggested to this point. I'll head to the auto parts to get more fuses. Update later. Thanks!

Don't forget to get new bulbs ... they could be bad also.

Find out if there is a relay that controls the brake lights as well.

The brake stop switch feeds the Shift Lock ECU which in turn energizes the Shift Lock Solenoid that unlocks the shifter.

Any of these could be an issue. Normally it is the brake stop switch. Once or twice I have seen a defective solenoid.

If the brake lights are not working I'm saying it is on that end and as the other poster said it could be the IG1 No2 fuse as you can see on the prints above.

Had the same problem. Was the fuse as previously mentioned in the thread. Fuse looked fine, but replaced it anyway. Problem solved.

I would hope the LED brake light isn't the issue. It pulls fewer amps than a regular bulb right?

It is pretty simple when you press the brake pedal it closes the stop lamp switch which sends 12 VDC to the brake lamps. It also sends 12 VDC to the Shift Lock ECU which unlocks the shifter.

Do not use just your vision to check the fuses, they can be blown and appear to be good. Get a multimeter to check resistance or a 12 volt test light to verify you have voltage on both sides of the fuse.

The box of fuses I bought comes with a fuse tester.

:censored:The fuse I replaced earlier, (10 A stop fuse under the hood) which didn't change anything to begin with is now blown. I tested every fuse on the truck and every single one except the one I replaced earlier was good. The fuses I bought are the same size fuses however, the poles are longer. Are these ok to use? There weren't any short fuses on the shelf.:censored::facepalm::help::violent:
