I have a 2019 Taco and just did a long rode trip thru Texas. While on flat roads the shifting between 5-6th gears was annoying. It could not hold 75 with the cruise on and would keep down shifting to 5th. Any one else have this issue?

Ha this is a pretty common issue. It's just the programming logic of the transmission to try to get the truck to meet EPA req's.

If you find a good dealership, you might be able to have them flash your ECU using TSB 0092. Should sort out your issue for you.

Use ECT and Sport Mode, it helps a bit.

Get someone to put OVtune on your truck. Should run you $250 and make the truck much, much better.

Common, 5th and 6th are both overdrive gears,,, it's tuned to make the big GOV and environmental agencies happy,,,, not you. As are every other low torque engine, 6-10 speed transmission truck.
Often folks are comparing a modern vehicle, to their 10-15 yo vehicle,,,,, times they are a changin
