How does it work with push start? Any issues changing modes?

It works fine. It only engages once you go into "S" mode.

It differs in how you turn on the ACC without starting the car. If memory serves, you have to turn off the engine and have key in ACC position or pushbutton in ACC mode to program the 1, 2, or 3 shift map...if you want to change it.

I believe it needs to be in the start position . without foot on brake- push the start button 2 times , you are now in the start position , put shifter in S mode ,wait 10 seconds to here the beep or beeps , then shift up or down and count beeps to know what mode you are in , keep shifting one time one way or another ( listen for beep/beeps )to change and listen for how many beeps there are.
EDITED -Hard to explain but it does work with a push button truck . The instructions come with the SSP for push button start trucks .

Thanks Taco16lb that's exactly what I needed to know. I've only had it a month and sounds dumb but didn't know that is how accessory works. I was seriously thinking, about trading it because the transmission really sucks. I am getting crap fuel economy, barely better than my 13' Tacoma that had 86000 miles. I loved that truck, hated the fuel economy and was told the 3rd gen ones are a lot better.

Wanted to chime in. I was order 1006. I now have 15k on the Shiftsense and I can’t imagine life without it. Just the other day I threw it in D on a route I take every day and the difference was immense. The shiftsense make the truck drive like it should have from the factory. Zero problems with any features. Great job guys.

So I am having a small issue, not sure if I'm missing something. Installed fine and I know the unit is working. When I try to get to program mode, I never hear the long beep. Upon trying to change the mode, I only get 3 beeps and then nothing when trying to go down or up.

Sounds like you have the truck started. Engine has to be off.

Order#1950 I hope it's as easy and good as everyone says. My wife was complaining about how my truck shifts on a short drive yesterday! She complains when I say about upgrading anything, I guess another ride after I get it installed and then I'll drop the bomb!

Also a 1500 mile trip to Daytona next month towing a enclosed trailer with 2 Buell's and a bagger. I was worried about the trip, 1200 miles on my truck. I am going to give her a real workout! Any thoughts?

Are you coming from Hill Country or are you a Flat Lander ?
I'd work hard to at least doublie those miles before the trip and then some....

Been riding around in Mode 2 for a few days now thinking the SSP was pretty good.
I almost forgot about the ECT button down there on the dash, till tonight on the way home.... WEEE-OOO !
Can't wait for the sun to come up and go out and try this some more.....
After I forget all the niggling little stuff, maybe I really can learn to like this truck after all ? :fingerscrossed: Thank You SSP !
