It will always beep to acknowledge it is on. Mine is under the charging pad and can barely be heard.

I know about the beep but it's also making this other weird noise that I cant describe. I dont listen to the radio much anymore so I notice any little noise now.

This might sound like a stupid question, but I've never found the instructions on how to change the mapping on my Shift Sense Pro from the default setting of 2 to 3. I've had it installed for 4 months.

Turn truck on (not running , 2 presses of keyless button.) Shift to S mode . wait 10 seconds and hear beeps (or beep?). , then shift up or down to change modes , the beeps will sound to let you know where you are at. Then put back in park and start and go. It will stay in that mode until you change it again. :bikewheelie:

Placebo effect! You aren't alone. I love the way mine drives. Plenty of power when I need it, the transmission has begun learning my tendencies and has become a joy driving. Averaging 21 mpg!

Let me start off by saying I love the SSP! Great addition to the truck and drives much nicer now.

I'm sitting at the dealer..completely forgot about my SSP being in the truck. I'm pretty sure they are going to be hooking up to that port the SSP in plugged into...my question is..will the truck still function/shift at all without that being plugged in or am I about to have a fun talk with the dealer?

Leave it in the truck. Unplug it from the OBD2 and tuck the plug up in the dash. They won’t hunt for it. Been to the dealer twice and once for a diagnostic and they haven’t made mention.

    a bunch of mods

If the SSP is disconnected at the OBD port, then it will not engage. In that case, the truck works entirely as stock., Both D mode and S mode continue to shift just as they would from the factory. If the dealer drives the truck in D, they will not know one way or the other. If they drive in S, they may hear the 3 beeps since the SSP cancels, but otherwise it shifts manually as OEM.

I leave mine plugged in when I take my truck in. Not a peep.

Will all the monitoring gadgets you can get for the OBDII I hardly feel like it’s unique to have something plugged in anymore.

That's great to hear. Dealer never needed to use the port today luckily but just to be safe next time I will hide it so I don't get any crap from them.

Nice Work dcz108 ! Your order process was great. Your shipping speed across the U.S. was great. Packaging, Instructions...great.
The video literally makes it a 10 minute job (depending on if you want to hide the unit)
    Programming is a snap.
Drove home tonight in Level 2 without using the ECT for the first time in months. The Transmission shifts like you would expect an Auto Trans to shift. Thanks again. Can't wait for your next Mod.

Will the TSB update make a difference on the functionality of the SSP or does it override these updates? I have not had the TSB applied to my truck and am curious if it is recommended do this before / in addition to using the SSP? Thanks for any info

Which technical service bulletin (TSB) are you referring too?

SSP does not write to the ecu at all, so there is no interaction.

If there is an ecu update for your truck, definitely get it done.

    Shouldn’t.

It just shifts automatically in “s” mode.
