Installed my SSP yesterday. As everyone has said the install was super easy and quick. Took a few extra minutes to consider where the best place would be to mount the unit. I decided on the flat panel that is to the right of the gas pedal as some others have done. There's room to move it up a few inches which is what I did. In that location it's not visible unless you're looking for it. I considered under the Qi charger but decided I'd like to be able to access it without opening the center console. It's out of view which is what was important to me, I don't mind the beeps.

Drove it for the first time this morning, only about 20 minutes or so, commute into work on flat paved surfaces. I was in mode 2. I definitely noticed a smoother ride as the truck shifted significantly fewer times than I'm used to. I'll stay in mode 2 for a few days to get a better feel for it and then will try modes 1 and 3 to see what they're like.

I used SSP mode 1 last night for the first time - incredible! I had been using mode 2 for the first few days because it is the default and wanted to get comfortable with it, but last night we were driving our newborn in the truck so I wanted to see if the "less aggressive" mode 1 would live up to its description. It does! The drive was noticeably smoother with very minimal shifting at all, and the shifts that did occur were very smooth as well. I liked the drive in mode 1 so much that I kept it on for my morning work commute and still love it. Very impressed with this product.

Those of you that are selling your ShiftSense Pros - are you selling because you're getting OVTune or for some other reason? I've had my SSP for almost 2 weeks now and am very impressed with it. The device does exactly what it claims to do. I realize what OVTune does is much more robust but I can't get comfortable with altering the vehicle software, so it's just not the right product for me. I'm very pleased with SSP so far.

I have been using the SSP V2 for a little over a month now and while I do like the improved shift points I am still wanting more throttle response and will be switching to the OVTune. If you are interested in a deal on a barely used unit send me a message.

    Edit/ SOLD

Once my SSPro is sold I'm going with a ov tune, only a month and a half old. Newest model, 150$ shipped, lower 48

I will be selling my shift sense Pro in a couple of weeks as well, Toyota is offering to buy my truck back after I hired a Lemon Law attorney. I've mentioned a couple times how messed up my truck is, what is amazing is how many people try to defend the 3rd gen Tacoma and say "just drive it the way it is - it's the way it's supposed to be". But it's not right, maybe it's just my truck but it's a complete mess, the pairing of this engine and this transmission is atrocious. I drove my truck from Cleveland to Tampa early in March and on that 1100 mile drive from Cleveland to Tampa my truck rarely went into 6th Gear at 70 miles an hour. My truck probably shifted between 6, 5 and 4th gear over 3000 times during that 1100 mile trip. I took multiple multiple videos of it mostly in southern Georgia and Northern Florida (flat) to show my attorney. as I've mentioned earlier, my truck has been in the shop 3 times for the tsp for a total of 37 days. They actually had Toyota technicians come out to check out my truck and told me everything was normal. But after 2 weeks of filing with the Lemon Law attorney they have offered to buy my truck back. Don't know how my truck can be normal and everyrhing working as expected and Toyota offering to buy it back. Super disappointed with the Tacoma gen 3 - going back to SuperCrew F-150. This is my 4th toyota pickup/tacoma so I'm definitely not a hater but if Ford was having these issues some of the Fan Boys on this site would be having a field day with them.
