the OV Tunes are selling for $600? and all I need is the V2 SSP chip for $12, and I don't need to run 91 Octane and save about 260 a year in gas, I think I will stick with the SSP for now..i can buy a lot of gas with the 600..IMO..just saying..

I am selling my Shift Sense Pro V2 for $130 shipped. Awesome little device, but I traded up to a Tundra.

You people selling your SSP are kinda crazy. The OVT 1.04 does make the Tacoma shift really nicely, and a lot better than stock, but still puts you in 5th gear at 35 mph. SSP + OVT is night and day better than OVT by itself. The truck really likes to rip if you want it to, and does not constantly require downshifting in order to accelerate. Still extremely happy with the SSP! Kinda kicking myself I removed it for over 5,000 miles.

There is no comparison. That would be like comparing an apple to a watermelon. Two completely different products that achieve very different results. This is why running both together is the answer IMO.

Thanks y'all. I'm just going to stay away from it. I feel the transmission shifts on my 18 Tacoma OR just fine. After putting about 3,000 miles on it. It feels a lot better! Very appreciate all the feed backs:)

I stopped using mine because I would get on the highway and flip into "sport" mode and the truck would not shift out of 4th all day long. It made the module useless.

    a bunch of mods

To clarify, the SSP can be engaged at any time, including while going down the road. One thing to remember is that the initial engagement must occur while traveling less than 65mph. Once engaged however, it will control shifts for all speeds up through maximum speed of the truck.

Several SSP users have reported similar issue. Most have found the connector into the shifter has worked itself loose. I'd recommend cracking open CORRECTION- PRY OPEN the center console and make sure the SSP connector is still tightly engaged.

Wondering if its worth it to swipe on the SSP, I have been reading that it will cause more wear on the transmission. But my logic is that I have 265/75/16 with a 2" lift and a diff drop so the SSP will help reduce the current wear that my larger tires are already putting on the transmission. Let me know your guys thoughts
