The SSP has arrived, ordered on the 27th and it arrived today. Great shipping! Took me about 25 minutes to install as i kinda struggled with the location. I mounted it on the top of the air bag-there is a perfect ledge and the wiring has plenty of length. Only drove it around the neighbor hood 4-5 Miles, and 30-45 mph, never got out of 4th gear. Will test more tommorrw, but my initial thought are WOW! What a difference, i took a long road trip this past weekend with my wife up two mountain passes to eastern washington and I hated the way the truck shifted up and down the hills. Even when using ECT in 'S' mode it still sucked.

Received my SSP today, install about 10 minutes tucks nicely under phone charging pad, went on a 40 minute drive set at (default) level 2, I’ll be brief, if you do not like the way your Tacoma with the 3.5 V6 shifts buy the Shift Sense Pro. It fixes our shifting issues....period

That happened to me when I moved the shift lever up after engaging the SSP. Moving the lever to "D" and then back to "S" cleared it for me.

Are you shifting to S mode from a stop or driving? I know when you initially switch it over to S, it will be on S3/S4 and then go down from there automatically.

Just throwing some thoughts out: Do you hear the tone when it engages? If you unplug the OBDII connector, does "S" mode work normally?

Does not sound like SSP is activating, when you move it from D to S mode you should see a gear countdown on you cluster from 4S to 2S

When you first start the truck you should hear two beeps (meaning it's communicating). When you shift to 'S" you get one more beep and the red light on the box also comes on, and the blue light should be on when you first start the truck ?

Order #2553. Installed just a few minutes ago and it works as advertised. I didn't like that my truck would shift from 3rd to 4th very fast.. the SSPV2 would allow 3rd gear to run its course and shift to 4th when it's suppose to. Cant wait to test the Interstate soon, sick of the constant change between 5th and 6th gear when on the highway.

Do you get the beep when you engage it? Regardless check the connections. Likely it is loose at on end.
