If you want to keep it and take the risk, ask for $1000 back and save them the cost of hauling it back.

Well against my better judgement and all of yours... I took 500$ to keep the truck. I now got it for 8500 shipped. I already had a hood and front bumper bought. The water damage may not be as bad as I made it seem when I was venting. I pulled the seats, and carpet and the carpet wasn't completely soaked, just wet to the touch in the back and pretty damp in the front, the seats were not drenched, just seemed wet to touch. I couldn't find much for water behind the dash except for where it came out of the vents. I know I'm taking a chance and I hope that I can bring this thread up 10 years from now and say it all worked out! Even if I had to replace all the electronics behind the dash i'll still come out ahead with this vehicle. Also, with the amount of free time I have to work on it, it has several months to dry out. I have my father in law coming over tonight to use his commercial carpet cleaning equipment to shampoo and vacuum it out.

Good luck. Replacing electronics is sketchy at best. I sincerely hope it works.

Figured you'd keep it against what everyone said. Not even sure why you asked because you were going to keep it no matter what.
If the water was as bad as you first described then you'll have many issues going forward. I hope its not as bad as first thought, or else you have a $9k headache on your hands with a salvage title.

I would see if they were willing to renegotiate the price given their negligence.

Came here for pics. OP delivered and did not disappoint.

You should make a rebuild thread for this. I would sub to that in a heartbeat

I would too. I'm interested to see how OP comes out in the end cost wise. Looks like that truck needs a good bit of work to be 100% again.

Now that looks like a good project! How bad is the frame? If it’s really bad, I’d think you may be able to buy a used frame somewhere that is in much better shape and easily fixed and then do a frame swap. You’ll see every part of the truck as you do it and can replace what’s needed at the time.

So did you get a clean title with it or a salvage title? Clean title=worth it! Salvage title=no value anymore
