I would just take some wearable items such as bulbs, air filters, cabin filters, oil filters. The serpentine belt should be good for some 70+k miles or 5yrs, but an extra pulley or belt may not hurt.
In the even that the unthinkable should happen, I would just look into a drivetrain swap from a Hilux there.

    Good luck!
    Cheers!

Yeah it's a bit pricey, but we were able to avoid a lot of the taxes since my father has land over there, and we can register the Tacoma as an "agricultural vehicle" which made it significantly cheaper.
The shipper is able to get it there in 4-6 weeks.

I have my Tacoma in Morocco, but it’s just for three to four years, so I’m banking on not needing dealer service while i’m here.

For GPS I use Waze or google maps on my iPhone. They’re both free, up to date, and frankly all around better than the factory gps as far as I’m concerned. Of course you can’t use the radio screen to display your phone’s screen (without aftermarket parts), so I bought the Hondo Garage unholy mount and it works great.

Insurance gets expensive... I have three separate policys which run over $2,000 annually all together, and if I do get in a wreck none of my aftermarket parts are covered. I could take out another policy to cover the bumpers, suspension, etc, but I’ll just roll the dice on that one.

Sorry I can’t help you out on your other questions, good luck on your move!

while the newer HiLux look increasingly like a Tacoma, they are not on the same frame per the internet.

It was a plumber from Texas. He didn’t remove his name or phone number from it. Neither did the dealership before it went to auction.

When I bought my truck, the salesman and I were talking, he was from the Middle East as well. He said, think about the durability of Toyota. Most of the trucks used by terrorists are Toyota’s and all that running through dust and sand, do you think they do regular maintenance? Oil changes? Nope, but they keep on running. I just laughed but didn’t tell him that when I was there, I can’t count how many Toyota’s we blew up ...

Mythbusters tested a Tacoma and found it to be indestructible...but they didn't hit it with an 105mm autocannon ;). Hooyah.

Hell, our 50cal was ripping them to shreds. But a 105? There’d be nothing left. Not even the steering wheel! HOOYAH
