    Hi all,
Potentially needing a lot of work done to my tacoma, but it is in the East Bay area and I live in San Diego. Gonna do the work myself in my garage so I need a way to ship it down here without driving it. Does anyone have any good experiences with car shipping companies that they can recommend? Google has not been helpful as it is a mixed bag of reviews with different companies and brokers. I appreciate any info, thanks.

Welcome to TW, I think you'll find your cheapest route would be to rent a H.D. truck and trailer and pick it up yourself. SD to SF is about a day. You should be able to have the rental back next day.

This is more than likely the cheapest and simplest option.

    ^^^^This
Rented a trailer and hauled a buddies truck 450 miles and it was definitely cheaper than getting it delivered to him.
