Shipping Truck from East to West Coast

There are many freight transport carriers. Start calling to get quotes. It won't be cheap.

I had my motorcycle shipped from North Carolina to Iowa by a company that specifically handles motorcycles. The cost was just under $600. The bike was strapped to a transport skid that allowed handling by a forklift and protection in transport.

Whatever you do. Be sure to take pictures of the vehicle on all sides, the truck driver, the truck tractor w/license plate, the trailer w/license plate. Document all pictures using embedded dates. Do not let the title go with the vehicle. YOU must keep the title. Read the transport contract carefully before you sign. Do not make final payment until the vehicle is delivered. You may need to make a partial payment at time of pickup.

Take these simple steps to help protect you and your vehicle. If the transport company balks at these precautions, then you need a different transporter.

 

I live in California. Pay for my flight out to you and I'll drive it back to LA. I could use a vacation.
