Does your flares flap in the wind when going down the highway? I heard they do when you cut them.

I zip tied mine super tight so they don't really flap around at all and I made little supports for the bedsides so that they don't wiggle around too. They do become a little flimsier when you cut them cuz you're essentially weakening them by removing material. But if you put them back on with some support they'll be fine! You planning on cutting your fenders pretty soon. Saw on someone else's thread that you're going with a king setup pretty soon! You're gonna love it bro!

Wait you zip tied on instead of using clips?

I used as many of the original clips as I didn't break and then the rest were zip tied back on with heavy duty zip ties and they've worked great!

That's a so much better idea! I may do that to my top broken clips...

Yeah man they've worked like a charm for me. I've had the zip ties on for over a year and have never replaced them or had a problem and I've had my fenders cut for over a year now.

Did a little wheeling up in Big Bear yesterday with RileyLAFD, Cottle89,and my buddy Joey with a 4Runner. Had a good time. Explored some trails on the south side of the lake and then ran a couple more trails on the north side. I didn't take a single pic cuz I was super lazy. All photos courtesy of RileyLAFD. Couple of pics for now

When you go to 35's are you going with a 35/12.50 or like a 315/70 or even a 315/75r17?

Awesome build! Took some time to get through 38 pages. Great pics of your trips. Congrats on your daughter. I'm sure you'll be taking her on many wheeling and camping trips. I've got two girls about to turn 5 and 3 and they go everywhere with me. Subbing!

I would go 35x12.5x17 if you are going to get MTR's. Since they have Kevlar in them the side walls are already stiff so, but in this size they are C rated.

No problem! Mine are E rated and have Kevlar in them.. Have to go down to 10psi to really notice any "bulging" of the tires

So for my set up you think that the 35x12.5 C rated MT/R's would work best for me

Yup. I went wheeling with a guy that had C rated MTR's and loved them, also should be a little lighter in weight. I think thats what @dakotasyota is going with as well

I'm on the fence about this too. @AaronArf is happy with his. I think either way as long as you don't get E you'll be good haha

Right on dude. I also think they're a little cheaper than the 315/70/17's as well.

    Let's go buy some!!!! Hahaha
