With your bed empty how smooth riding are the Dakars? With my Icon AAL its kinda rough and with the new heavy RTT coming im not sure if I should upgrade or not..

Not gonna lie they are a little stiff but it honestly doesn't bother me. I like the fact that I have the much higher weight capacity now. When you have weight in the back with the Dakars they are so smooth. I had the Icon AAL's and they couldn't handle any weight. With the extra weight of the RTT I strongly suggest the Dakars, otherwise your a$$ is gonna be dragging. Haha exaggerating but you'll definitely notice that your back end is weighed down a lot if you dont upgrade your leaf pack.

Yeah thats what my fear is.. And since I have my fiberglass canopy it already has it down about a quarter inch. I laid on top of my canopy and I don't think it sagged very much but we will see. And since I plan on camping a lot Ill wear out the AAL soon you think?

Oh yeah dude those AAL's will be toast very quickly if you go camping a lot and have the RTT and extra gear in the back of your truck. I noticed that my AAL's were sagging and getting worn out quickly. I really love my Dakars. At the very least go with the All Pro standard pack. But you won't regret getting the Dakars. Theyre great for overlanding and camping!

Whats the difference between the 2 packs? They are practically the same price I think

The Dakar pack and the All Pro pack? The Dakar pack, the tension of the springs I believe is just stiffer when they're built so they can take more weight. The All pro standard pack provides for a little smoother ride but can't take as much weight. Then you have the All pro expo pack which is like the Dakar pack.

Just picked up one of these ARB ez tire deflators today. Tried it out and holy crap does it make a difference when you're airing down. Goes so quickly! Pretty sweet.

Got home from work early today and decided to crank up my Icon Coilovers an inch. They were at 1.5" and I raised them to 2.5". They weren't that easy to turn haha. I broke the stupid spanner wrench, seems pretty cheaply made. Oh well. I ended up sticking another tool with same diameter as the spanner wrench part that goes in the hole on the ring and it worked. I can tell a difference. The truck looks more level now.

Dude it was suuuch a blast!!! Such a fun time. Great offroading, great stuff to see, great shooting, and great camping! The few guys I went with were very cool. Lee (surfnmoto2) took all the pictures. Whenever I get the pictures from him, I will definitely post all the pictures. Got a few good go pro videos that I'll post as well.

My friend is looking into Icons but needs to save up first, think I convinced my dad to do a 4.5 inch icon lift on his Super Duty.

And yeah I hope! I heard they are a little stiff without any weight in the back though but hopefully won't be to bad.

They're sweet. Your buddy and your dad will love them.

And the Dakars are a little stiff but its a truck. Youre gonna love em. Especially the fact that youll be able to carry all that weight in the back and be able to do awesome overlanding trips!!!

Finally got around to putting on my rear wheelers bump stops. I've had them for about two months now but haven't had time to make something to attach them.

Recently did the Mojave Trail with a few awesome guys I met here on TW.

Here are some photos from the trip all out of order!

Heres the busted up old Bus out there in the middle of nowhere on the trail

Here is the Penny Can tree where you are supposed to put a Penny in the can as a tradition for paying your toll on the trail.

Haha thanks dude. We didn't have any of that so we improvised and filled it with air as I used a ratchet strap around the middle of the tire and tried to squeeze it back out on to the rim. It worked almost all the way but there was a 6 inch section that was still a little bit off. It was holding air perfectly though so I put the tire back on and kept rolling. For the next 60 miles it held air but was still not seated properly. Got to the last mile of the trail where it was a fire road back out to the highway and I was going really fast and drifting around the corners and when I went to go air up all the way at the end it was fully beaded again haha. It was really funny. But hairspray and a lighter will be in my tool kit for next time for sure!
