    If you get your diffs built by ECGS they give you $200 off the locker if you add it in. So instead of $1050 they add it in for $850. And then you could put the diffs in yourself and save a ton of money on the install

    You are in there anyway so why not? I will be getting one because I think I'd rather have one and not need it, than need it and not have one.

    Yeah $850 the another $180 for the compressor. If I had the abilities to install them my selves I would. But I can't really work on my truck at the apartment I'm at now.

    All the shops around here want around $1000 to install them. So if I could install them my self I could use that extra money for a locker

    Yeah but no one has done it before. Some of the guys don't want to attempt it because it's out of their level of comfort.

    Mostly because I haven't seen any reviews on how to or done much with my front. I know the rear is just a straight bolt in/out if you get the assembled unit

    With the rear do you have to pull the tires off and the rear hubs to get the diff to come out?

    Not to my knowledge.. Basically just mark drive shaft, unbolt the driveshaft, unbolt third member, swap out, bolt up drive shaft. Ryan can tell us exactly how to

    See I just don't feel comfortable enough doing something like this to the truck. I could possibly screw something up big time.

    Yup your on the right path, you just pull the axles out so you can pull the diff out. The front my my understanding is difficult because it's awkward to get the diff in and out, but same thing with the rear you gotta pull the axles out off the diff. I would try Spoonmans thread since I think he's pulled both a couple of times

    Well whatever can calm your nerves and just jump into it, since your not setting the gears I don't think much could really go wrong

    @Sje1124

    The rear is super easy. Only took me an hour to do.

    The front is definitely more challenging but still not too bad. The main thing that is tough like @ChandlerDOOM said is that it's awkward to get in and out. When you have an extra hand it definitely makes things a lot easier.

    Basically it's just undoing a lot of bolts and stuff. You have to take the wheels off, undo tie rods, take off brake assembly, slide out CV axles, drop diff, put new diff in, and put everything back in reverse. There's a little more to it than that but that's essentially it. Hardest part is doing it by yourself so you'd definitely need someone to help you.

    That's exactly right, as long as you unbolt everything, don't lose anything, and put it back the way it was before, then nothing will go wrong. The gears will have already been set and it will work great!
