Don't think you need brakes unless it's over 3000 pounds.

    ...too much shit to list.
Depends on state. No brainier IMO. You can manipulate the trailer brakes manually separate from the truck brakes. Helps out immensely when you're off-road.

Yeah I meant brake lights. You don't have to have brakes if it's under 1500 lbs
But I still am considering brakes

    Good to know!

Just got home from my long weekend in the Mountains and came home to a nice birthday present at my door. The axle for the trailer! Tires and leaf spring mounting hardware should be here tomorrow!

What size tubing are you using for the box and frame?

2x2" square 3/16" wall for the frame and then probably 1.5" square 1/8" wall for the box

That's what I was thinking. My buddy has a hookup on materials. I might build a small trailer with him this summer. He's a pretty good welder and I want to learn while I'm at it.

That one is 3k OBO. I want to make one just like it basically. After pricing out parts roughly, I think we can make one for far cheaper. I want to put removable crossbars and a removable cover on it. That way I can haul bikes or an ATV.

Nice! I like it. I'm thinking the same thing. I wanna be able to use it as an expo trailer and also a utility trailer if need be! Stoked to see what you guys come up with too haha
