    I have a 1989 4x4 long bed, 22RE, 5 speed.

I have developed a slight high speed vibration. Toyota ppl suggested I rebalance my relatively new tires.

Took it to Schwab and they were slightly off but they said two of the rims had a very slight wobble. The rebalancing did not help so I ordered new rims from Toyota (ouch$$$$). Last four in existence according to the Toyota parts person.

Tire people also thought my stock shocks were weak and could also be the cause of the vibration.

Soooooo, finally getting to my question. I need some suggestions on shocks. I don't hunt or fish any more and only haul moderate loads occasionally (less than 500 lb).

Schwab ppl suggested 2 Mountain Ryder XT and 2 RMX Monotube. Guess different for front and back but don't know which goes where.

Any suggestions on something moderately priced but still good would be greatly appreciated.

A lot of folks are going to recommend Bilsteins.....

I WOULD NOT get Rancho (Roncho) or any other cheapest shock. Cheap is cheap.

I've run Doetsch Tech shocks on my Jeep with good results.

I've also run Old Man EMU shocks on my previous tacoma with good results.
