Hi all! I'm new to the forum and apologize if there's already an appropriate thread for this question and that it's been covered ad nauseam!

My question: How much, if any, would, say, a new, stock rear shock absorber, installed on a stock (e.g. 2015 Tacoma TRD Off-Road) truck be expected to compress from its fully extended length after installation (i.e. only the weight of the portion of the truck the shock is intended to support is bearing on the shock)?
