My brother needs to get his 5100s and OME coils compressed together. He purchased them separate. Can anyone recommend a shop that does it for a reasonable price? We're located in Long Beach/Orange County area.

thats not a difficult job. Just get on yelp and choose a shop with decent ratings. Make sure they use a torque wrench on your wheels lol

Or rent a spring compressor from vatozone and do it yourself.

Search YoutTube for "suspension tacoma no compressor" and it brings up a two part video on how to safely seperate your shocks and coils. This is the method I used and have recommended to many others, and everyone comes back saying how simple it was.

Got a floor jack? I've done it many times using the method in this video.

Thanks guys! He has a Nissan frontier. We'll look to see if this method is similar for his truck. Making some calls today

Yelp is where we're looking. Although I do trust most tw recommendations before Yelp. He's probably going to compress it himself

If you can use the method outlined in the video, it's much safer than a rented spring compressor from the auto parts store.

Any shop will be able to do that, I got my 5100/OME 881s (plus rear setup) installed at a local tire/alignment shop for a couple hundred bucks. Kings Tires in Glendale, but they're a ways away from the OC area.

Hey OP, if your brother decided to go with a shop, let me know which one and how much they charged. I'm thinking of getting the OMEs also on my 5100s.
